Frequently Asked Questions
On the day of your appointment
We strongly encourage booking a 60 minute initial session if you:
- Have a particularly complex or chronic problem.
- Would like a rapid resolution of your condition in the shortest possible time frame (returning to sport, only available for treatment for a short period etc.)
- Your time is specifically reserved for you, with no overlap of clients.
- You may call after hours to make a booking and leave the message in our voicemail system, and we will get back to you to confirm your time as earliest as possible.
Our Cancellation Policy
To be mindful for our other clients and also our clinics operations, Our clinic abides by the Australian Physiotherapy Association guidelines for all cancellations and changes of appointments. This allows enough time for your appointment to be reallocated to other clients. If you wish to change or cancel your appointment we require at least 8 hours notice by phone, you may leave a message on the answering machine after hours if the clinic is closed. Unfortunately, late cancellations less than 8 hours and nonattendance will require the cost of the scheduled appointment.
Why see a Physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists are experts of the musculoskeletal field, and work to identify and treat the cause of the condition rather than its symptoms. Physiotherapists also have been trained to identify and implement preventative strategies to prevent recurrence of injury and eliminate maladaptive behaviours.
Why see a Physiotherapist at Roselands Physiotherapy?
Roselands Physiotherapy provides a different and higher quality of physiotherapy care, as you will receive personal attention and understanding in regards to your concerns and goals. We believe that health is holistic and that a diagnosis may often distract us from the underlying problem. The comprehensiveness of our services will ensure all contributing factors are identified, managed, and improved so that your goals are reached. We value you as a person who deserves a high quality of care and will assist you in seeking the help you need.
Musculoskeletal conditions are often treated like other pathologies such as the common cold, where the body will recover after a short period of time. The body is complex and underlying causes, behaviours and activities are needed to be identified and treated in order to prevent hidden costs in the future. At Roselands Physiotherapy, we would rather achieve a good long-lasting result than a quick fix, therefore depending on the individual the amount of services and treatments will be determined within the first few sessions, and a time frame may be given for your personal circumstances. This leaves our clients happy with the improvements they have made in the long term, and living with the confidence that they can manage their condition when aggravations occur.
At Roselands Physiotherapy we believe prevention is better than a cure, and we will always provide you with management strategies to care for your own health. This will empower you to be functional as possible in the long run, avoiding recurrence and expenses.
We take pride in our care for our clients, and always have an open ear to hear concerns, thoughts and questions that may arise during and prior to our sessions.
